COURSE DESCRIPTION
The program (Diploma of Accounting & Business Administration) covers accounting and business management functions from analyzing and recording transactions to measuring and communication financial data for management decision making. It includes the study of cost accounting methods, cost behavior and the use of cost information for planning and control decisions. To equip students with effective career performance in a modern electronic work environment, the program emphasize on proficient use of computerized accounting and professional office software.

OBJECTIVE
The comprehensive program prepares students for flexible options in entry level and intermediate accounting career with skills to: apply general accounting principles to analyze, classify, and record transaction in manufacturing, partnership and cooperate structures, and payroll cycles, apply principles underlying gross income, accounting methods, gains and losses, inventories, depreciation, deduction, and taxes to produce account summaries, reports and financial statements; record and analyze material, labor, and overhead costs for divisions, functions, departments and operations; product cost systems, job cost systems, and factory overhead cost that help business managers in decision making, communicate accounting information to management for it decision making in operations, budgeting, and tax considerations.
Graduates of the Accounting and Business Administration program find jobs in account payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, cost accounting, inventory control, credit and collections, and payroll. With experience, Accounting and Business Administration graduates many become office managers.
